Bellaire Public Schools

March is an action packed month at the Bellaire Elementary School. Each year the students participate in themed activities to promote reading. The whole staff gets into the theme of the month, which really gets the kids excited. We have classroom and schoolwide friendly competitions to encourage reading and our participation in our themed events: classroom competitions to see who can wear the most words in a day, students create posters about their mascot' to hang in the hallways, teachers track the number of minutes read each student and by the whole class, and even community members come in and read to the classes. This is an all around exciting month that the students really respond to. Take a look at our event filled calendar to see what our students are doing each day. The theme this year is “Dive Into Reading!”
