Mitchell Lampman, son of Jeff and Karen Lampman, has been selected as the Bellaire Rotary Student of the Month for December. During his time at Bellaire, Mitch has excelled both in and out of the classroom. While maintaining his commitment to academics, Mitch has been involved in many extracurricular activities while also making time to volunteer in the community. This dedication to excellence makes Mitch an outstanding role model to peers as well as younger students.
Academically, Mitch maintains a 3.936 GPA and has been a member of the All A Honor Roll every marking period of his high school career. He has also been a member of the National Honor Society for two years where he has helped MC Honors Night, school honor roll assemblies, and the Veterans Day assembly.
Mitch has been highly involved in many extracurricular activities. He is a three-sport athlete excelling on the football and baseball fields and on the basketball court. In basketball he earned the Team First Award from the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan. Mitch has also been a member of the school choir, served on the student council, and been Vice-President of his class.
Even with his busy schedule, Mitch has given many hours of his time to the community. As a member of the St. Luke’s Youth Group he has worked on projects such as Toys for Tots and Giving Tree. The group has also gone caroling at Meadowbrook and helped with spring clean-ups. As a member of NHS Mitch has worked on the Silver Muzzle Service Project for dogs and he has also been honored as Volunteer of the Year by Bellaire Youth Basketball. A commitment to academics and service make Mitch a deserving recipient of this award.
