Congratulations to Keara Leitow, daughter of John and Pamela Leitow, for being honored as the Bellaire Rotary Student of the Month. Keara is an outstanding student who has exhibited excellence in academics and character. Teachers and peers alike appreciate her dedication and ambitious work ethic but it is her intrinsic desire to learn that is so infectious. There isn’t a science inquiry or an English essay she hasn’t eagerly tackled for the pure joy of discovery.
During her high school career Keara has earned many awards including Academic Certificates, an Academic Letter and Academic Pin, the Social Studies Department Award, and 3rd place in the Voice of Democracy essay competition. She has also been a member of the high school choir and band where she has received a first division rating at the MSBOA District II Solo Ensemble.
Here at school and in the community, Keara has found time to make a positive impact. As a member of the National Honor Society she has volunteered in community events and taken time to tutor younger students. Even with Keara’s participation in these activities, she has maintained excellent grades through her high school years with a current GPA of 4.0.
Keara’s quiet and steady confidence in the educational journey has served her well, but it is her humble, kind-hearted, and gentle spirit that her friends and teachers will remember most. It is with great pleasure that we celebrate with Keara and wish her continued success.
