The November Bellaire Rotary Student of the Month is Erin Emery, daughter of Jim and Denise Emery. Erin is an outstanding student and musician that has been a great role model for all students in the Bellaire community.
Erin has excelled in academics at Bellaire High School, as evidenced by her 4.0 grade point average. She has been recognized for her academic achievements by her induction in the National Honors Society. Erin’s favorite classes are math and music and she is in her second year as a teacher academy student with the Career Tech Center.
Erin is an accomplished musician on both the French horn and as a vocalist. She has consistently earned top ratings on her horn at solo festivals and has been selected to play in the MSBOA District 2 Honors Band for the past three years. Erin was chosen as a Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association Scholar Instrumentalist in 2015.
Erin is also involved in community service and is involved in the Green Cord volunteer program. Erin volunteers as a cantor at her church, as a helper at Meadowbrook, and as a tutor for other students in school. Erin is very deserving of being the November Rotary Student of the Month.
