Recent legislation known as 21F of the State School Aid Act allows students in grades 5-12 to take up to two (2) online courses/semester. Bellaire Public Schools encourages parents to carefully consider whether a 100% online course is ideal for their student given the fact that in online learning environments, students will be forfeiting face-to-face teacher classroom instruction and support. Online courses taken for high school credit will count toward the student’s high school grade point average (GPA). Online courses can be selected from the statewide online course catalog.
